Chalke Deanery has been partnered with the Diocese of Cueibet since 2013.
During this time, the activities of the Partnership have seen mutual visits to both the Chalke Deanery and the Diocese of Cueibet.
Programmes have included the following:
- An agricultural programme to increase crop production
- Women's tailoring and dressmaking to encourage self reliance
- Sponsoring clergy training
- Delivering 40x special terrain bicycles, assembled in Kenya
- Building a diocesan guesthouse for visitors
- Building and furnishing a Church Primary School and supporting teachers salaries
- Emergency relief for Internally Displaced Persons homeless after fighting and relief after flooding and storm damage.
This has been achieved through generosity of Churches and individuals in the Chalke Deanery.
